Drive train failure ends King's night at Boothill Speedway

For the second round of the USRA Southern Nationals after inclement won Friday’s opener, Michael King Jr. visited Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, La.) on Saturday afternoon to compete in the Limited Modified ranks.

In a stout field of 43 Modifieds, King lost one spot in his heat to finish third, relegating him into a B-Main for another shot at the $3,000-to-win A-Main. The team discovered issues with his drive train shortly after his heat race concluded, forcing him to scratch from his consolation race.
